Washer with Sidekick

We bought the washer with side kick a little over a year ago. We love the sidekick for small loads and diapers but shortly after getting out of warranty the plastic handle to open the sidekick broke and we have not been able to use it since.

Do you like mold? Then buy a SideKick. From the first day we used our Sidekick there was a terrible moldy smell pervading. No amount of cleaning would fix it. Every time we open it its damp inside even if it had not been used and had been thoroughly dried. Customer Service was horrible. I was on a phone call for 1.5 hours and earlier on a chat for an hour. No resolution except to keep cleaning it. Over and over. And over.

Love This Little Washer

We purchased this Sidekick two years ago and have never regretted it. I use it more than I though I would. Its great for small loads that just wont work with other loads single items that must be washed separately and a new item that you want to wash before wearing but dont want to wash in the large washer. I also like that since its a pedestal I can put a laundry hamper on it to put clothes in or take them out of the main washer. Im tall and need the extra height. The only complaint I have is you have to dry it after use which isnt hard to do and leave the lid open for a few hours to ensure the whole thing dries out or it will get mildewy. The good news is if this does happen it has a tub wash feature.

Still doesnt work.

It worked well for a week and then lost all power. The repair team came out two weeks later. It powers up now but still flashes the E 7 code with the button correctly pushed in. So it still does not work.

Oh Snap

The washer was mostly ignored for three years. And then it was delicately treasured and simply great this year. And then in its greatness the latch snapped during a handwash cycle. Then I found out that no one repairs the LG pedestal washers.

I bought this and its been nothing but a nightmare. There is some sort of hose that is designated for each unit and this unit didnt have one. After going 44 days with no washer I finally returned it and will just get a regular bottom.

Love my sidewalk washer

I bought this machine a few weeks ago and i absolutely love it. Works good for small loads. I use my front load WM4500HBA and sidekick at the same time. They work well together. I recommend LG washer and sidekick. I have all LG appliances in my home.

Sidekick is perfect for a family

This is the second Sidekick we purchased as the new homeowners recognized our LG appliances in our laundry room when we sold the house and put them in the contract as a condition of sale. We love having the option to put intimates or small loads into the Sidekick allowing us to shorten our time in the laundry room while the big LG washer concentrates on all the kids clothes bedding and towels. The sidekick is quiet and does a great job making sure clothes are clean. The sidekick is also perfect for the clothes found around the house while cleaning and you dont want to interrupt the big LG washer. Just drop these in the Sidekick select the type of wash and let it work The extra large LG dryer makes it a breeze to combine laundry from the big washer and Sidekick for drying. The hand wash setting on the Sidekick is great for laundry needing a gentile touch. Yet the sidekick also has setting to take on tough jobs like your kids shoes and sportswear. It will easily clean dirt grime and of course sand and other stuff your kids bring in. The Sidekick is definitely worth it for growing families And since the Sidekick supports the large washer it effectively is your large washers pedestal with a drawer to wash clothes.
